ProSieben to Launch BBC-Licensed 'Deutschlands Dümmster Promi' on September 1

Flipping the quiz formula by rewarding celebrities for intentional failure, the series launches a six-week Monday block with simultaneous Joyn streaming.

Overview

  • Six one-hour episodes will air Mondays at 20:15 from September 1 to October 6, followed by ‘Crash Games’ at 21:20 to anchor ProSieben’s entertainment lineup.
  • Amira Aly and Christian Düren will make their debut as co-hosts, guiding eight celebrities through the show’s inverted-quiz challenges.
  • The cast mixes news presenter Marc Bator, former footballer Mario Basler, reality personalities and politically connected figures including Gloria-Sophie Burkandt and Joe Laschet.
  • Redseven Entertainment is producing the series under a BBC format license, marking another international comedy-game adaptation on German television.
  • Each episode will stream simultaneously on Joyn as part of ProSieben’s strategy to boost digital reach alongside its linear broadcast.
