Prosecutors Seek Death Penalty For Suspect in Murders of 4 University of Idaho Students

Prosecutors in Idaho announced they will seek the death penalty against Bryan Kohberger, who is accused of murdering four University of Idaho students in November 2022.
Kohberger was a graduate student at Washington State University at the time of the murders and was arrested in December 2022 after investigators matched his DNA to evidence at the crime scene.
Kohberger pleaded not guilty to four counts of first-degree murder and one count of felony burglary. His trial is scheduled to begin October 2.
Kohberger's defense attorney argues there is "no connection" between Kohberger and the victims and is seeking more evidence about how investigators identified Kohberger as a suspect.
The murders of the four students in an off-campus rental home shocked the small college town of Moscow, Idaho.
