Prosecutors Demand Jail for Luis Rubiales Over Nonconsensual Kiss

Spanish prosecutors are seeking a two-and-a-half-year prison sentence for former football chief Luis Rubiales for kissing Spain midfielder Jenni Hermoso without her consent.
Rubiales also faces charges of coercion for pressuring Hermoso to publicly justify the kiss as consensual, causing her 'anxiety and intense stress'.
Three of Rubiales' former associates are being tried for allegedly pressuring Hermoso, with prosecutors seeking 18 months in jail for each.
Prosecutors request Rubiales to pay at least €50,000 in compensation to Hermoso for the kiss, and a joint payment with his associates for the coercion charge.
Rubiales is involved in a separate corruption probe related to the transfer of the Spanish Super Cup to Saudi Arabia.
