Overview
- Official MPF forensics (DATIP) recovered multiple draft versions of a purported “confidential agreement” between President Javier Milei and U.S. businessman Hayden Davis from devices seized from lobbyist Mauricio Novelli.
- The files stem from exchanges between Novelli and Davis to refine a final text that was to be signed on January 30, 2025, roughly two weeks before the $Libra token’s launch.
- Case records show $3.9 million moved that same day, including two $499,999 transfers timestamped to the Casa Rosada meeting, with funds ending in accounts linked to Novelli and Manuel Terrones Godoy.
- Relying on the forensic findings, prosecutor Eduardo Taiano formally asked the Subsecretariat of Presidential Affairs to state whether any version of the alleged agreement is on file.
- The Presidency has denied the existence of such a document, while the forensic report notes extensive deletion of chats limiting evidence recovery and identifies Novelli as a key conduit to Milei’s circle and international actors.
