Overview

• Four fires along trackside cables south of Bordeaux were reported between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. at Cadaujac, Villenave-d’Ornon and Ayguemorte-les-Graves, with firefighters extinguishing the blazes by midday.
• The Bordeaux prosecutor opened an investigation for organised arson-related damage and said the deliberate nature of the incidents is strongly suspected.
• SNCF reported major disruption on the Bordeaux–Toulouse corridor, with cancellations and diversions and delays reaching about 7 hours 20 minutes on a Toulouse–Paris TGV and 4 hours 40 minutes on a Bordeaux–Marseille Intercités.
• Some services were rerouted via Dax and Tarbes, lengthening journeys by roughly two hours, while other trains were cut short at Bordeaux or Toulouse.
• SNCF Réseau said more than 50 agents were mobilised after significant disturbances to signalling equipment, with traffic fully halted for hours between Bordeaux and Langon and disrupted south of Langon, and passengers offered refunds or free cancellations.
