Prosecutor Opens Probe Into Suspected Deliberate Rail Cable Fires Near Bordeaux That Disrupt Trains

SNCF expects a return to normal for the first Monday-morning trains.

  • Some services were rerouted via Dax and Tarbes, lengthening journeys by roughly two hours, while other trains were cut short at Bordeaux or Toulouse.
  • SNCF Réseau said more than 50 agents were mobilised after significant disturbances to signalling equipment, with traffic fully halted for hours between Bordeaux and Langon and disrupted south of Langon, and passengers offered refunds or free cancellations.
