- Federal prosecutor Gerardo Pollicita has ordered technical steps to verify the defense’s account that eight bitcoin addresses produced US$591,544.61 and will request court approval to carry out blockchain forensics.
- The defense supplied a notarial act and a sealed envelope with private keys to show current control of the wallets, but prosecutors say that proves access today and does not prove ownership in 2014–2018.
- Investigators plan to reconstruct on-chain movements and open the sealed envelope under judicial supervision with video and custody records so experts can match dates, amounts and historical control.
- The probe will also re-examine disputed renovation payments for Adorni’s Indio Cuá home after the contractor said he received about US$245,000 while the defense produced an architectural valuation near US$174,955.
- If peritajes and blockchain analysis do not confirm the defense’s explanations, Pollicita may ask Judge Ariel Lijo to summon Adorni for a formal questioning for alleged illicit enrichment, a step that would escalate legal risk for the former chief of staff.
