Overview

  • The Berlin–Munich ICE line remains suspended until Monday morning as Deutsche Bahn installs temporary auxiliary bridges after a July 4 fire in a Hirschaid underpass.
  • Trains rerouted between Nürnberg and Erfurt face roughly 90-minute delays and skip stops at Erlangen, Bamberg and Coburg, with certain IC services to Leipzig and Kassel-Wilhelmshöhe canceled.
  • In Dresden, the A17 on-ramp at Dresden-Gorbitz will close on July 9 for signage work and the Dresden-Flughafen junction will be fully closed from July 15 to 27, with its on-ramp shut until August 7 for pavement rehabilitation.
  • Hamburg’s A7 Schnelsen Tunnel is scheduled for a full shutdown from July 18 to 21 and a 12-hour closure on August 16 to replace and upgrade tunnel control electronics.
  • Munich’s S3 line between Giesing and Holzkirchen is suspended until July 17 after discovery of defective sleepers at seven switches, with replacement transit services in place.
