Overview
- Progressive and Learfield announced Tuesday that the insurer will put its logo on the playing surfaces of 13 programs and debut the branding with the 2026 season.
- The participating schools are Boise State, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Kansas State, Ole Miss, Oregon, Purdue, SMU, Syracuse, Texas Tech, USC and Wake Forest.
- Logo placement will differ by campus with sites ranging from sidelines to the 25- or 50-yard lines and some schools choosing team-specific locations such as between the hedges at Georgia or under Boise State’s Bronco head.
- The package includes in-venue LED and sideboard signage, videoboard features, digital and social activations, and university officials say the deals are intended to add revenue for operations and support for student-athletes.
- Financial terms were not disclosed publicly though reporting says the agreements are expected to be multiyear, and the move builds on NCAA rule changes and a broader trend of rights holders selling scaled, on-field media inventory to cover rising athletic costs.
