Progress MS-32 Docks With ISS, Delivering New Spacesuit and Semiconductor Facility

Roscosmos reports the freighter’s two-day flight ended at Zvezda with more than 2.5 tons of supplies.

Overview

  • The uncrewed cargo ship arrived at the Russian segment’s Zvezda module on September 13 following an automated approach confirmed by a Roscosmos broadcast.
  • Progress MS-32 launched on a Soyuz-2.1a from Baikonur’s pad No. 31 on September 11 at 18:54 Moscow time and completed the trip in about 50 hours.
  • The manifest includes the Orlan-MKS No. 7 spacesuit and an installation for the Ekran-M project intended to synthesize high-purity semiconductor materials in space.
  • Food deliveries totaled roughly 17 kg of fresh produce—such as 5 kg of grapefruit and 0.5 kg of garlic—plus freeze-dried items, canned goods, drinks, sauces and seasonings, according to Andrey Vedernikov.
  • The spacecraft is now docked with cargo aboard the station, with research hardware awaiting setup and routine supplies supporting ongoing crew operations.
