Overview
- As of late June 2026 the national Becas Progresar program continues with a monthly stipend set at $35,000 and the Formación Profesional line accepting applications through the current convocation.
- Payments are split so beneficiaries receive 80% each month while the remaining 20% is held until the Secretaría de Educación verifies academic regularity.
- Eligibility and continuity depend on academic, personal and socioeconomic checks with the key exclusion being family income above three Salarios Mínimos, Vitales y Móviles (SMVM), a ceiling that shifts when the statutory minimum wage changes.
- Administration is divided: ANSES disburses the money and the Secretaría de Educación reviews records and can suspend or cancel a grant for noncompliance, incompatible state aid, prior disqualifications or inconsistent personal and family data.
- Students should apply and check status online via the Progresar portal or Mi ANSES using Mi Argentina credentials and update family data promptly because missing or inconsistent information is a frequent cause of suspension and loss of payments.
