Overview
- The fourth season began airing on ITV1 at 9pm on Wednesday and will continue in the same weekly slot with episodes available to stream on ITVX.
- Ben Miller reprises his role as Professor Jasper Tempest and the full principal cast for series 4 includes Barney White, Frances de la Tour, Juliet Stevenson, Sunetra Sarker, and Zoë Wanamaker.
- The new series resumes six months after season three and follows the team as they cope with the previously reported death of DS Lisa Donckers while investigating a fresh crime wave.
- Although set in Cambridge, most interior scenes for series 4 were filmed in Belgium at locations such as the Winter Garden of the Ursulines, Château de La Hulpe, and academiezaal Sint Truiden as part of the Anglo-Belgian production model.
- ITV has commissioned a fifth series, a move that secures the show’s future on the network after season 4 first premiered in the US in 2025 and experienced a yearlong delay before its UK broadcast.
