  • Raipur police said they traced the leak to a Durg student and arrested professor Yogesh Sonkesariya and five students within 36 hours, with two other suspects reported absconding and the investigation ongoing.
  • Investigators say the professor made a tiny hole in a sealed envelope and inserted a miniature endoscopic camera to record the paper, then transcribed and sold the questions for about ₹11,000.
  • Officers seized cash, six mobile phones, a video recording device and related cables and registered an FIR under the Chhattisgarh Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act and Section 316 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
  • The university has cancelled and rescheduled the affected exams for the first week of September, moved to OTP‑protected, passworded e‑papers and ordered more CCTV after police flagged gaps in printing, custody and storage procedures that investigators say enabled the breach.
