Profeco Demands Transparency From Ticketmaster on BTS Mexico Ticket Sales Ahead of Presales

Spurred by 4,746 complaints, Mexico’s consumer agency will oversee prices, fees, ticket allocations during this week’s BTS ticket sales.

Overview

  • Profeco said it sent a formal exhorto to Ticketmaster and OCESA to publish price ranges, fees, full conditions, and the percentage of tickets allocated to each sale phase.
  • Ticketmaster posted the official Estadio GNP Seguros map confirming a 360-degree central stage, but it maintains that prices will only appear inside the virtual queue.
  • The watchdog confirmed active monitoring through Conciliaexprés, ongoing contact with the companies, and checks on buyer data protection during high-volume sales.
  • Sale windows remain set with an ARMY Membership presale on January 22–23, a bank-partner presale, and a general sale on January 24 for the Mexico City shows in May.
  • BTS fan groups held a peaceful march to Profeco on January 19 under the slogan “Sin mapa y precios, no compramos,” pressing for advance pricing, clear maps, and no dynamic pricing.
