Overview

• The June 23 recall covers 3,794 Volkswagen vehicles from the 2015 model year, including Cross Fox, Gol Sedan, Gol, Saveiro and T4 variants.
• It follows two earlier phases affecting 6,733 units from 2010–2012 and 4,491 units from 2014, bringing the total to 15,018 recalled vehicles nationwide.
• Defective Takata airbag gas generators can fragment upon deployment, sending metal shards that pose a risk of injury to occupants.
