Overview

• Profeco will host 41 back-to-school fairs nationwide from late July through August, culminating in the CDMX event on August 16 at Expo Reforma with more than 50 suppliers.
• Álvaro Obregón borough will stage its own fair August 15–17 at the Salón de Usos Múltiples with up to eight selected exhibitors supporting around 3,000 local families.
• Shoppers can access school materials at discounts of up to 50% and complete purchases with the Mi Beca para Empezar government aid card.
• Free on-site services include medical certificates, vision tests, haircuts, legal counseling and kiosks for official documents.
• The fairs build on the SEP’s 2025–26 academic calendar and standardized supplies list, aiming to protect consumer rights and stimulate community economies.
