Proenza Schouler Names Rachel Scott Creative Director

The Diotima founder was chosen after a global search to evolve the house’s codes through a craft-focused lens.

Overview

  • Scott, who officially started on Aug. 15, will oversee all categories, including ready-to-wear, White Label, handbags and footwear.
  • Her first full collection for Proenza Schouler will show in February 2026 for fall 2026, following an introductory spring 2026 lineup developed with the design studio for New York Fashion Week.
  • She will continue to run Diotima and present that label during NYFW, with her first Diotima runway set for Sept. 15.
  • Founders Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, who exited the creative director roles in January, remain shareholders and board members and publicly welcomed Scott.
  • CEO Shira Suveyke Snyder said Scott was the "quintessential" pick to carry forward the brand’s balance of European codes and American culture, as the company reports solid performance at its new SoHo flagship and refreshed e-commerce.
