Overview
- Four nagar kirtans from Srinagar, Gurdaspur, Faridkot and Talwandi Sabo are scheduled to reach Sri Anandpur Sahib on November 22 ahead of the main November 23–25 programmes.
- Anandpur Sahib has been extensively readied with two tent cities for roughly 10,000 devotees, a shuttle fleet including 500 e-rickshaws and 150 minibuses, a drone show at Virasat-e-Khalsa from November 23–29, and more than 8,000 police deployed.
- Punjab’s events include the start of Sri Akhand Path Sahib and an interfaith Sarv Dharm Sammelan on November 23, a heritage walk and a special Vidhan Sabha session at Bhai Jaita Ji Memorial on November 24, and the Bhog ceremony on November 25.
- Haryana will host a state function at Jyotisar, Kurukshetra on November 25 with Prime Minister Narendra Modi expected to attend according to the chief minister, following the conclusion of state-wide yatras on November 24, with the PM also slated to visit the Mahabharata Anubhav Kendra and take part in the International Gita Mahotsav.
- Punjab officials say the prime minister is not likely to attend the Anandpur Sahib programmes, while separate commemorations by the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee at the Red Fort run November 23–25 with President Droupadi Murmu and Home Minister Amit Shah confirmed and the PM’s appearance on November 25 unconfirmed.
