Probe Ordered Into Renovation of Arvind Kejriwal's Former Delhi Residence

The Central Vigilance Commission has launched an investigation into alleged building norm violations at the ex-Chief Minister's official bungalow, following a report by the CPWD.

The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) ordered a detailed investigation on February 13 into renovations at the 6 Flagstaff Road bungalow, which served as Arvind Kejriwal's official residence during his tenure as Delhi's Chief Minister from 2015 to October 2024.
A report submitted by the Central Public Works Department (CPWD) alleged violations of building norms, including the unauthorized merger of four government properties and extravagant renovations spanning 40,000 square yards.
The BJP has heavily criticized the renovations, referring to the residence as a 'Sheesh Mahal' and accusing Kejriwal of misusing public funds for personal luxury during its recent successful campaign to regain control of the Delhi Assembly.
Delhi BJP leaders have urged Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena to annul the merger of the four properties into the bungalow and restore them to their original status.
Arvind Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) have not commented on the investigation, which follows years of political attacks from the BJP over alleged corruption and misuse of government resources.
