Pro-Russian Hackers Target French Municipal Websites in Coordinated Cyberattacks

The attacks were claimed by the pro-Russian hacking group NoName057(16), which stated the action was a response to France's support for Ukraine in the ongoing conflict with Russia.
Municipalities such as Nice and Bordeaux reported no data breaches, emphasizing that the attacks were primarily symbolic and aimed at creating disruption rather than stealing information.
Authorities, including the Paris prosecutor's office and the DGSI (France's domestic intelligence agency), have launched investigations into the incidents.
