Pro-Palestinian Student Protest at Sciences Po Ends with Peaceful Police Evacuation

Students occupied a campus building to protest Israeli airstrikes in Gaza and demand institutional action, with further demonstrations planned today.

Around 30 pro-Palestinian students gathered at Sciences Po Paris on Tuesday evening, protesting recent Israeli airstrikes in Gaza that reportedly caused over 400 deaths.
The protest included speeches, debates, and calls for the university to sever partnerships with Israeli universities as a stance against the Gaza violence.
Students refused to leave the campus building at closing time, prompting the university to request police intervention to ensure normal closure of facilities.
Police evacuated the students peacefully around 11:30 PM, with no reported incidents according to the university administration.
Further demonstrations are planned for Wednesday, as students continue to voice opposition to the situation in Gaza and the handling of Tuesday’s protest.
