New York Officials Condemn the Act, NYPD Taking the Threat Seriously

A pro-Palestinian group shared a map of New York City landmarks on social media, highlighting predominantly Jewish-led institutions and calling for 'direct action' to 'globalize intifada.'
The group, 'Within Our Lifetime,' did not specify why the locations should be targeted, or what kind of action should be taken, but New York lawmakers have denounced the map, insisting violence is implied.
The controversial post has since been deleted, but the group continues to host rallies and protests, including a 'peaceful rally' in Washington Square Park and an 'emergency protest' outside CUNY School of Law.
Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine and Councilman Keith Powers have condemned the group's actions, with Levine calling it 'dangerous and reprehensible' and Powers describing it as an 'unacceptable invitation to senseless violence.'
The NYPD has confirmed that they are aware of the map and are taking the threat seriously.
