Pro Football Hall of Fame Recognizes Three Legendary Assistant Coaches with Awards of Excellence

Dick Hoak, Elijah Pitts, and Jim McNally will be honored for their lasting contributions to the NFL during a ceremony in June 2025.

Dick Hoak, running backs coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers for 35 years, won five Super Bowls and mentored Hall of Famers Franco Harris and Jerome Bettis.
Elijah Pitts, a former Green Bay Packers player and longtime NFL assistant coach, helped guide teams like the Buffalo Bills to four consecutive Super Bowls and mentored Hall of Famers Earl Campbell and Thurman Thomas.
Jim McNally, a pioneering offensive line coach with a 43-year NFL career, coached Hall of Famer Anthony Munoz and contributed to four Super Bowl teams across multiple franchises.
The honorees will be celebrated in Canton, Ohio, on June 25-26, 2025, alongside other award recipients in categories like public relations and equipment management.
