Priyanka Gandhi Vadra officially filed her nomination for the Wayanad Lok Sabha by-election, accompanied by her mother Sonia Gandhi and brother Rahul Gandhi.
This marks Priyanka Gandhi's first time running for office, despite having campaigned for family members and colleagues for 35 years.
The Wayanad seat became available after Rahul Gandhi chose to retain his seat in Rae Bareli, Uttar Pradesh, following the 2024 national elections.
Priyanka Gandhi is contesting against BJP's Navya Haridas and Left Democratic Front's Sathyan Mokeri in the by-election scheduled for November 13.
The by-election results will be announced on November 23, alongside the outcomes of assembly polls in Maharashtra and Jharkhand.
