Private Jet Skids Off Oregon Runway, Ends Up in Coos Bay

A 2019 Honda HA-420 private jet overshot Runway 23 at Southwest Oregon Regional Airport early Monday morning, landing in Coos Bay.
Emergency response teams swiftly rescued the pilot and four passengers, all of whom sustained minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital.
The aircraft was removed from the water by 10 a.m. Monday, and airport operations resumed shortly thereafter.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) have launched investigations into the cause of the runway excursion.
