Private Investigator Arrested at Travis Kelce’s Home After Attempt to Serve Taylor Swift

The arrest came two days after a judge refused a bid to depose Swift in the Baldoni–Lively lawsuit.

Overview

  • Leawood police arrested Justin Lee Fisher around 2 a.m. on Sept. 15 after he allegedly jumped a fence at Kelce’s gated residence.
  • Fisher, 48, is a former Fort Scott, Kansas, police officer who is currently listed as a licensed private investigator.
  • He was trying to deliver deposition papers intended for Swift in the Baldoni v. Lively case, according to police records and media reports, and it has not been confirmed that she was formally served.
  • He was released and is scheduled to appear in Leawood Municipal Court on Oct. 15, and he has said the arrest could jeopardize his investigator license.
  • U.S. District Judge Lewis J. Liman denied a request to depose Swift on Sept. 13, and the underlying case remains on track for a March 9, 2026 trial in the Southern District of New York.
