Pritish Nandy, Renowned Filmmaker and Journalist, Dies at 73

Pritish Nandy passed away on January 8, 2025, at his South Mumbai residence following a cardiac arrest, with his funeral held the same evening.
Nandy was a multifaceted personality celebrated as a poet, journalist, filmmaker, and former Rajya Sabha member for the Shiv Sena.
He produced critically acclaimed films such as 'Chameli,' 'Kaante,' 'Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi,' and the Emmy-nominated web series 'Four More Shots Please!'.
A prolific writer, Nandy authored around 40 books of poetry in English and translated works from Bengali, Urdu, and Punjabi into English.
