PRISM Files for Rs 6,650 Crore IPO

A fresh equity sale aimed at cutting borrowings could be partly replaced by a pre‑IPO placement that would reduce the public offer size.

Overview

  • PRISM filed an updated draft red herring prospectus (UDRHP) with SEBI for a ₹6,650 crore fresh-issue on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, following a confidential pre-filing in December 2025.
  • The proposed IPO is structured entirely as a fresh issue and existing marquee investors will not sell shares, which signals the deal is meant to raise capital rather than provide liquidity for backers.
  • PRISM plans to use about ₹4,987.5 crore from the proceeds to repay or prepay borrowings and will deploy the remaining funds for general corporate purposes.
  • The company reported EBITDA rising to ₹2,127 crore for the year to December 31, 2025, and disclosed large global operations in hotels, homes and India storefronts to support its listing case.
  • PRISM may carry out a pre-IPO placement of up to ₹1,330 crore that would reduce the fresh-issue size, and it is said to be targeting an indicative valuation of $7–8 billion compared with earlier, higher 2021 ambitions.
