Overview
- The Princess will observe the national two-minute silence at 11am before laying a wreath at the Armed Forces Memorial.
- A specially commissioned poem by the Arboretum’s Poet in Residence, Arji Manuelpillai, will be read during the service.
- Musical performances from Talent in the Ranks and Black Voices are included in the ceremony’s program.
- Following the service, she will view newly inscribed names, speak with attending veterans, and meet secondary school pupils from military families with parents currently deployed.
- She will visit the Letters from the Frontline – Words, War and Victory exhibition, a BBC Midlands collaboration, as part of a week of royal remembrance events that also includes the Festival of Remembrance and the Cenotaph service.
