  • The Xunta de Galicia will present Princess Leonor the Medalla de Oro de Galicia on July 14, 2025.
  • The regional government’s highest distinction will recognize the culmination of her year-long military formation at the Escuela Naval de Marín.
  • She is scheduled to embark on the frigate Blas de Lezo on June 14 for Sinkex live-fire exercises in the next phase of her naval training.
  • The Princess returned to Spain on June 9 after a five-month instructional cruise aboard the Juan Sebastián de Elcano, which included a call in New York City.
  • During her July visit to Marín she will be named Hija Predilecta de Marín and follow in the footsteps of her grandfather, King Juan Carlos I, who received the gold medal in 1985.
