Overview

• Princess Leonor embarked on the frigate Blas de Lezo on June 14 to participate in advanced naval training as a guardiamarina.
• The SINKEX-25 exercise tested the Armada’s high-intensity combat readiness with live-fire drills against decommissioned ships involving 1,900 personnel and multiple air and sea assets.
• After completing SINKEX-25 on June 16, Blas de Lezo integrated into the Dédalo-25 expeditionary group to demonstrate Spain’s naval projection capabilities.
• Dédalo-25’s itinerary includes a scheduled port call in Ceuta from June 21 to 23 and operations across the Western Mediterranean into the Tyrrhenian Sea.
• Princess Leonor will transfer to the Juan Sebastián de Elcano on July 3 to finish her naval training and will then join the Air Force Academy in September 2025.
