Overview

  • Princess Kate collaborated with the V&A’s curatorial and collections-access teams in June to select the objects for her mini-display.
  • Her installation is one of more than 100 rotating mini-displays embedded in the storehouse’s open-storage racking.
  • Featured artifacts include a 15th-century Somerset church tile, a Qing dynasty porcelain vase, Oliver Messel’s 1960 Royal Ballet costume and Beatrix Potter’s watercolour and family photograph album.
  • Visitors can explore the exhibit as part of V&A East Storehouse’s free self-guided experience running through early 2026.
  • The museum’s free ‘Order an Object’ service allows guests to request hands-on access to additional items from the V&A’s archives.
