• The Danish Royal House issued a statement titled “The education and schooling of the royal children” confirming that 14-year-old Princess Josephine chose Spir Efterskole for her 8th grade year at her own request.
• Spir Efterskole is a residential lower-secondary school in Jutland that describes itself as research-informed and emphasizes student learning, well-being and community life.
• The move will place Josephine roughly 174 miles from her parents’ Copenhagen base, making her the first of King Frederik and Queen Mary’s children to live away from home for schooling.
• Crown Prince Christian will return to Antvorskov Barracks in Slagelse to continue his lieutenant’s training and Princess Isabella will complete her upper secondary studies at Øregård Gymnasium.
• Prince Vincent will begin his 8th grade year at Tranegårdsskolen in Hellerup, where he has been enrolled since 2017.
