Overview

  • Princes completed a £60 million purchase of the Grade I–listed Royal Liver Building with financing from HSBC UK.
  • All existing tenants, including Everton FC, HSBC, ITV, Grant Thornton and Princes itself, will remain in place with no immediate operational changes.
  • The deal marks only the second change of ownership since the landmark’s completion, following its 2017 acquisition for £48 million by Corestate and Farhad Moshiri.
  • Princes, founded in Liverpool in 1880 and sold to Newlat Food S.p.A. in early 2024, returned to profitability ahead of this latest investment.
  • The company plans to transform parts of the Liver Building into a multipurpose headquarters and venue for public and corporate events.
