• Organisers selected 15 finalists from nearly 2,500 nominations spanning 72 countries.
• Five winners—one in each category of Fix Our Climate, Protect and Restore Nature, Build a Waste‑Free World, Revive Our Oceans and Clean Our Air—will each receive £1 million to scale their solutions.
• The awards will be presented in Rio de Janeiro on Nov. 5 in a ceremony aligned with COP30, where Prince William is expected to participate.
• This year’s contenders range from Matter’s washing‑machine microplastic filters and Form Energy’s iron‑air batteries to Sydney’s upcycled Quay Quarter Tower, Lagos Fashion Week’s sustainability standards and China’s ATRenew e‑waste platform.
• Earthshot leaders say earlier cohorts have safeguarded over one million square kilometres of land and ocean, diverted more than 250,000 tonnes of waste and reduced or captured about 4.8 million tonnes of CO₂.
