Prince William Reveals Finalists for 2024 Earthshot Prize

The 15 finalists were chosen from nearly 2,500 entries and will compete for $1.3 million to scale their environmental solutions.

The finalists represent innovative solutions from countries including France, Ghana, Indonesia, and Nepal.
Winners will be announced at a gala in Cape Town, South Africa, on November 6.
The Earthshot Prize, now in its fourth year, aims to address critical environmental challenges through five categories.
Notable finalists include Kenya’s Keep It Cool, which uses solar-powered refrigeration, and the U.S.'s Advanced Thermovoltaic Systems, converting industrial excess heat into electricity.
The Earthshot Prize was inspired by John F. Kennedy’s Moonshot project and is supported by prominent figures like Michael Bloomberg and Jane Fonda.
