Prince William announced a £50 million partnership with Lloyds Banking Group to fund housing projects and support charities tackling homelessness through the Homewards initiative.
The Homewards project, launched in 2023, focuses on making homelessness rare, brief, and non-repeated in six pilot regions across the UK, including Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole.
The Lloyds partnership will provide loans to small and medium-sized housing providers and charities that often face challenges accessing traditional funding options.
During a visit to Millennium House in Poole, Prince William met with residents and highlighted the importance of personalized support plans for people transitioning to independent living.
The initiative also emphasizes employment opportunities, such as a 12-week paid training program at Bournemouth and Poole College, helping participants secure qualifications and permanent jobs.
