Overview

  • On June 30, the Prince of Wales visited St George’s Park as patron of the Football Association to receive a tournament briefing from coach Sarina Wiegman and senior FA officials.
  • He joined a Made for This Game grassroots session with junior girls and former Lionesses Rachel Brown-Finnis and Kerry Davis to encourage female participation.
  • William operated the kit-printing press to add names and numbers and personally presented official match jerseys to all 23 squad members.
  • In a brief address, he wished the team “the best of luck” for Euro 2025 and praised their camaraderie as a model for the men’s national side.
  • Following the visit, the Lionesses depart for Switzerland to defend their title, opening their campaign against France in Zurich on July 5.
