Prince, The Clash, and Frankie Valli Among 2025 Grammy Lifetime Achievement Honorees

The Recording Academy will honor a diverse group of music icons at the Special Merit Awards ceremony on February 1, 2025.

The Recording Academy announced the 2025 Lifetime Achievement Award recipients, including Prince, The Clash, Frankie Valli, Roxanne Shanté, Taj Mahal, Frankie Beverly, and Dr. Bobby Jones.
The Trustees Award will be given to jazz pianist Erroll Garner, producer Glyn Johns, and composer Tania León for their significant contributions to the recording industry beyond performance.
The late acoustics engineer Dr. Leo Beranek will posthumously receive the Technical Grammy Award for his innovations in sound engineering.
The Special Merit Awards ceremony will take place on February 1, 2025, at the Wilshire Ebell Theater in Los Angeles, one day before the main Grammy Awards event.
Several honorees, including Prince, Joe Strummer of The Clash, and Frankie Beverly, will be recognized posthumously for their lasting impact on music.
