Prince Harry's Lawsuit Against Sun Publisher Advances with New Email Evidence

A judge has allowed Prince Harry access to specific emails between News Group Newspapers and the Royal Household as his case proceeds to trial.

Prince Harry and former Labour deputy leader Tom Watson are the only remaining claimants in the lawsuit against News Group Newspapers (NGN) for alleged unlawful information gathering.
The High Court has granted Prince Harry access to a limited set of emails between NGN executives and Royal Household staff, deemed potentially relevant to his case.
NGN has denied any unlawful activities at The Sun, and has settled 39 similar cases since July, including those involving celebrities like Hugh Grant and Sienna Miller.
The trial, set for January 2025, is expected to last six to eight weeks, with a further hearing scheduled for December.
The judge expressed disappointment over the slow progress of the case, likening it to a battle between two well-resourced parties.
