Prince Edward Meets World's Oldest Tortoise on St Helena Visit

The Duke of Edinburgh is the first royal to visit the remote island since 2002, meeting 192-year-old Jonathan, a Seychelles tortoise.

Prince Edward, the Duke of Edinburgh, is on a four-day royal visit to St Helena, a remote island in the South Atlantic Ocean.
He is the first member of the royal family to visit the island since The Princess Royal in 2002.
During his visit, Prince Edward met Jonathan, a Seychelles tortoise and the oldest living land animal, estimated to be 192 years old.
Jonathan has previously met several members of the Royal Family, including King George VI, Queen Elizabeth II, and the Queen Mother.
Prince Edward's visit includes attending a public event, meeting community leaders, and learning about wildlife conservation efforts.
