Prime Video’s 'The Narrow Road to the Deep North' Set for April Debut in Select Regions

The five-part drama, based on Richard Flanagan's Booker Prize-winning novel, explores war, love, and memory but awaits a U.S. release date.

Jacob Elordi stars as Dorrigo Evans, an Australian doctor and WWII prisoner of war, with Ciarán Hinds portraying his older self reflecting on a life marked by grief and heroism.
The series adapts Richard Flanagan’s acclaimed 2013 novel, which won the Booker Prize for its exploration of the Burma Railway and the psychological toll of war.
Directed by Justin Kurzel and written by Shaun Grant, the series showcases their continued creative collaboration alongside an ensemble cast including Odessa Young, Olivia DeJonge, and Simon Baker.
The first two episodes premiered at the Berlin Film Festival, generating international interest, with distribution confirmed for Europe, the U.K., and Latin America.
The series will debut on April 18, 2025, on Prime Video in Australia, New Zealand, and Canada, though a U.S. release date remains unconfirmed.
