Prime Video Sets Oct. 9 Premiere for ‘Saquon’ Documentary Timed to EaglesGiants Game

Executive-produced by Martin Scorsese, the film draws on five years of Saquon Barkley’s own video diaries to trace a deeply personal journey behind his comeback and team switch.

Overview

  • Prime Video released a first-look teaser on Sept. 3, with Barkley describing the project as a five-year diary and therapy in the clip.
  • Directed by Alex Pappas, the feature covers Barkley’s ACL recovery, fraught contract talks with the Giants, his move to the Eagles, and the ensuing Super Bowl run.
  • The release is set for Thursday, Oct. 9, the same day the Eagles face the Giants at MetLife Stadium, and that game will also stream on Prime Video.
  • Prime Video says the documentary will be available to members in more than 240 countries and territories.
  • Press materials highlight off-field dimensions, including family life, alongside on-field milestones, using intimate footage Barkley recorded over five years.
