Prime Video Greenlights 'Fallout Shelter' Reality Competition, Opens Casting

Prime Video opens casting for a 10-episode vault-set competition that adapts Fallout’s S.P.E.C.I.A.L. mechanics into real-world gameplay.

Overview

  • Fallout Shelter will stream exclusively on Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories with a 10-episode run.
  • Studio Lambert produces in co-production with Kilter Films and in association with Amazon MGM Studios and Bethesda Game Studios, with executive producers including Jonathan Nolan, Lisa Joy, James Altman, and Todd Howard.
  • Casting is live now with applications due by February 15, 2026, for contestants who will live together inside Vault-Tec–style environments.
  • Challenges will draw on the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. attributes—strength, perception, endurance, charisma, intelligence, agility, and luck—through escalating tests, strategic dilemmas, and moral crossroads for a large cash prize.
  • Production is currently expected to film in June 2026 over roughly three weeks, with applicants required to be at least 21, hold a valid passport, and pass background, physical, and psychological screenings; no premiere date has been announced.
