Priest Relieved of Duties After Allowing Provocative Music Video Shoot in Church

Sabrina Carpenter's music video for her song 'Feather' led to a priest being relieved of his administrative duties at a Brooklyn church.
The video, which features Carpenter dancing in a church among coffins, was filmed at Our Lady of Mount Carmel-Annunciation Parish in Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
Monsignor Jamie J. Gigantiello, who approved the filming, was not aware of the provocative nature of the scenes that were shot in the church.
The Diocese of Brooklyn stated that the church did not follow the proper protocol for filming, which includes a review of the scenes and script.
Since the video's release, the church has held a Mass of Reparation and donated the $5,000 it received for the shoot.
