Overview
- The match kicks off at 12:30pm on Saturday at Deepdale and will be shown live on Sky Sports with streaming via Sky Go and NOW while national radio coverage is not scheduled.
- Preston remain without a point after a run of defeats and a recent 3-1 home loss to Bristol City has increased scrutiny on manager Paul Heckingbottom.
- Blackburn have five points from their opening games but face defensive selection problems after Tom Atcheson’s midweek red card and the continued absence of Hayden Carter and Scott Wharton.
- Bookmakers and preview writers favour a draw and markets highlight Andri Gudjohnsen as a likely scorer after he netted three goals and supplied an assist early this season.
- Recent derby history favours Blackburn, who have won the last three meetings and remain unbeaten in several visits to Deepdale, while a Preston victory would significantly ease pressure on the home manager.
