Overview
- On June 8 at around 10:30 pm three intruders drilled through an adjoining wall and entered Dress Cheshire via the chimney stack.
- The thieves fled with approximately 55 designer bags from brands including Chanel, Gucci, Hermes and Louis Vuitton, valued at about £260,000.
- This marks the second break-in at the Prestbury boutique in just over a year after an earlier £180,000 heist prompted security upgrades.
- Detective Constable Clare Slattery of Macclesfield CID has urged anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage to contact Cheshire Police with information.
- Owner Christine Colbert watched the raid unfold on her phone and is now evaluating further security and display practices at her store.
