President Murmu to Begin Three-Day Dehradun Visit With Public Tours at Rashtrapati Estates

The trip marks the first time the president will open her Dehradun residence to the public after the cancellation of planned Madhya Pradesh engagements

Overview

  • Murmu arrives in Dehradun on June 19 to inaugurate an amphitheater and lay foundation stones for staff quarters, stables and barracks at Rashtrapati Niketan.
  • On June 20 she will open Rashtrapati Niketan for public tours and unveil a visitor facilitation centre, cafeteria and souvenir shop with viewings set for June 24.
  • She will inaugurate Rashtrapati Tapovan and lay the foundation for Rashtrapati Udyan before visiting the National Institute for Empowerment of Persons with Visual Disabilities to interact with students.
  • She will release a commemorative postage stamp marking 125 years of Raj Bhavan, Nainital, during an evening ceremony on June 20.
  • On June 21 Murmu will participate in a mass yoga demonstration at the Uttarakhand State Police Line Maidan to celebrate International Yoga Day.
