Overview
- President Droupadi Murmu presided over the Defence Investiture Ceremony 2025 (Phase-II) at Rashtrapati Bhavan on June 4, presenting medals to 92 personnel for distinguished service.
- Thirty awardees received the Param Vishisht Seva Medal, the highest peacetime honour; 57 were awarded the Ati Vishisht Seva Medal, and five earned the Uttam Yudh Seva Medal for conflict service.
- Lt General Manoj Kumar Katiyar and Lt General Dhiraj Seth, commanders of the Western and Southern Commands respectively, were among those honoured with the PVSM.
- Awardees were drawn from the Indian Armed Forces, the Indian Coast Guard and the Border Roads Organisation in recognition of service of “exceptional order.”
- Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh joined senior military leaders in acknowledging the honourees’ dedication and leadership.
