President Murmu Awards 17 Children with Rashtriya Bal Puraskar for Exceptional Achievements

The honorees, recognized across seven categories, were celebrated for their contributions to fields including innovation, bravery, and art at a ceremony in New Delhi.

• President Droupadi Murmu presented the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar to 17 young achievers at Rashtrapati Bhavan Cultural Centre on December 26, 2024.
• The awards honored children in seven categories: art and culture, bravery, innovation, science and technology, social service, sports, and the environment.
• Keya Hatkar, a disability advocate, and Saurav Kumar, who saved three girls from drowning, were among the notable recipients celebrated for their courage and advocacy.
• Hembati Nag, a judo player from a Naxal-affected area, and chess prodigy Aneesh Sarkar, the youngest FIDE-ranked player, were recognized for their remarkable talents.
• The ceremony also commemorated 'Veer Bal Diwas,' honoring the sacrifices of Guru Gobind Singh’s sons, with President Murmu and Prime Minister Modi reflecting on their bravery and patriotism.
