President Murmu Arrives in Ranchi to Begin Three-Day Jharkhand Visit

Police impose no-fly rules, heavy deployments to secure events in Jamshedpur, Gumla.

  • The President landed at Birsa Munda Airport on Sunday evening and was escorted to Lok Bhavan after being received by the governor and chief minister.

  • A 200‑metre no‑fly corridor from Birsa Munda Airport to Lok Bhavan is in force from 6 am Dec 28 to 10 pm Dec 30, with drones used for monitoring and anti‑sabotage checks underway.
  • Ranchi authorities report deployment of at least 2,000 security personnel and about 1,500 traffic staff, with timed bans on goods vehicles, route diversions and designated route closures; Jamshedpur security has also been tightened with a temporary airspace restriction.
